Cine-File is a volunteer-run resource for Chicago cinephiles. 

We provide a weekly listing of the wide range of independent, underground, experimental, and repertory cinema screenings & events available in and around Chicago. The weekly list is available via email as well.

Cine-File was started in 2007 by founding editor Darnell Witt and founding contributors Ben Sachs and Ignatiy Vishnevetsky. In 2008, Patrick Friel took over as managing editor.

In June 2010, the Chicago Reader called Cine-File the "Best Website for Film Buffs.”
